Terms and conditions
Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning Effective Date: 01/01/2026
Clear and transparent service terms help every heating and air conditioning project move forward safely, efficiently, and with a shared understanding between Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning and our customers. These Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities, expectations, and operational standards that apply when scheduling or receiving services from our team.
Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning is a family-owned business that has served the El Monte community since 1963. We provide professional heating, air conditioning, and sheet metal fabrication services to residential and commercial customers throughout El Monte, Pasadena, Alhambra, Arcadia, Glendora, Fullerton, Diamond Bar, Whittier, Orange, Sierra Madre, and surrounding communities. With more than 60 years of field experience and a commitment to very personal service, we bring trained expertise to every service call — whether it involves repairing a system, installing new equipment, or fabricating custom ductwork.
Because heating and air conditioning systems involve electrical components, refrigerant systems, ductwork, and specialized equipment, clearly defined service agreements help protect both the customer and our technicians while ensuring professional service delivery.
The following terms explain how services are scheduled, performed, billed, and supported after completion.
SECTION 1 – SCOPE OF SERVICES
1.1 Description of Services

The specific scope of work for each project will be outlined in the written estimate, proposal, or service agreement provided to the customer prior to the start of service.
1.2 Estimates and System Evaluations
Estimates are prepared based on the visible condition of heating and air conditioning equipment and property access at the time of inspection. System performance, equipment age, ductwork condition, electrical components, and airflow may all be evaluated when determining the recommended service approach.
Free estimates are provided for new installations. Diagnostic visits, repairs, and other service calls may be subject to a service fee, which will be communicated to the customer in advance.
If previously hidden conditions are discovered during service, such as damaged components, unsafe wiring, restricted ductwork, or additional system failures, the scope of work may require adjustment. In such situations, Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning will communicate with the customer before performing additional work whenever possible.
1.3 Services Not Included
- Structural modifications to buildings or framing.
- Electrical upgrades outside of heating and air conditioning equipment requirements.
- Home insulation work.

Any work outside the agreed service scope must be approved separately.
SECTION 2 – SERVICE SCHEDULING AND OPERATIONS
2.1 Appointment Scheduling
Once an estimate or service proposal has been approved, Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning will coordinate scheduling based on technician availability, service demand, and project requirements.
Appointment times may vary depending on seasonal demand and system complexity. Scheduled service dates may also be adjusted due to weather conditions, supply chain delays, equipment availability, or other operational factors common within heating and air conditioning service operations.
2.2 Access to Equipment
- Indoor air handlers and furnaces.
- Outdoor condenser units and heat pumps.
- Attics, crawlspaces, or mechanical closets.
- Electrical panels related to heating and air conditioning equipment.
Customers may be asked to clear stored items near service areas to allow technicians to work safely. Restricted access or unsafe conditions may delay or prevent service completion.
SECTION 3 – EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION AND SYSTEM PERFORMANCE
3.1 System Installation
Heating and air conditioning installations and system replacements involve specialized equipment, refrigerant handling, electrical connections, and duct integration.
Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning determines the proper installation method based on property layout, system capacity requirements, airflow considerations, and manufacturer specifications. Installation timelines may vary depending on equipment availability and site conditions.
3.2 Existing System Conditions
Heating and air conditioning systems often involve interconnected components such as ductwork, thermostats, electrical systems, and ventilation pathways.
Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning is not responsible for performance limitations caused by existing property conditions, including:
- Improperly sized duct systems.
- Insufficient insulation.
- Electrical limitations.
- Pre-existing structural restrictions.
- Previously installed equipment defects.
Technicians may recommend system improvements when these conditions affect heating or air conditioning performance.
3.3 Sheet Metal Fabrication
Custom sheet metal fabrication, including ductwork and related components, is performed to specifications appropriate for the system and property. Fabricated components are designed to integrate with the heating or air conditioning system being installed or serviced. Performance results may vary depending on overall system design, home layout, and existing ventilation conditions.
SECTION 4 – PAYMENT TERMS
4.1 Service Payments
- Upon completion of repair services.
- According to milestone payments for installations.
- Following the completion of larger system replacements.
Accepted payment methods may include credit cards, debit cards, electronic payment platforms, or other approved payment options.
4.2 Deposits for Equipment Installation
For larger heating or air conditioning installations or system replacements, a deposit may be required prior to scheduling equipment delivery and installation.
The remaining balance will typically be due upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.3 Additional Work
If additional repairs or adjustments become necessary during service, Wukmir Heating and Air Conditioning will communicate with the customer before proceeding with work outside the original estimate whenever possible.
Approved additional services may appear as updated charges on the final invoice.
